Aidan Orlando
University of Missouri
I am so grateful for the SADIA scholarship I received from SADIA. My first year at the University of Missouri was filled with a multitude of opportunities to learn and meet new people. I have been able to explore my interests in nutrition and exercise physiology under great professors, and I couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunity to do so.
I decided to add a minor in psychology. I want to help the whole person, not only with their physical needs but by addressing their mental health too. Both physical and mental health often go hand in hand, and I want to help people with both.
Receiving the SADIA scholarship helped me to start my journey in college. I did well academically as an honors student this year. I was fortunate to visit Italy twice during my first year in college and improve my Italian speaking skills and learn more about the culture. I am even considering studying abroad next school year through a program at the University of Missouri. My world and mind expanded as I explored and studied this past year. The SADIA scholarship gave me the ability to afford a school that grants me access to a great education and I am more than grateful for everything.
It is so wonderful that SADIA continues to award scholarships again this year to give assistance to students to start their educational journey just as SADIA helped me. Grazie
